Cookie Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026. This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies this website uses. We have kept it short because we use very few.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies are commonly used to keep you signed in or to remember a preference between page loads. Related technologies such as local storage serve the same purpose.

Cookies this site uses

Essential, set by our own server. When you submit the contact form, the server sets a session cookie carrying a security token. It confirms the form was submitted from a page on this site and expires when you close your browser. It is not used to identify you and is required for the form to work.

Preference, set by your own browser. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the site opens in the theme you last used. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.

Third-party services

Google Fonts. Our typeface is served from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google and Google sees your IP address. If you would rather avoid that, a content blocker or your browser's privacy settings can prevent it, though the site will then use a system font.

cdnjs. The animation library that moves the page is loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network. This is a request for a script file only; it does not set cookies and does not identify you.

Analytics and advertising

We do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We have no profiles of visitors and no third-party advertising networks on this site.

Spam protection

The contact form includes a hidden honeypot field that automated scripts tend to fill in. We may also enable Google reCAPTCHA in future, which would set its own cookies. If it is enabled we will update this page first.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you reading this site, but blocking essential cookies may cause the contact form to fail, because the security token it relies on will be missing.
